Depending on the chosen program, students will work in small teams to solve complex math reasoning problems like the kind in national math competitions, design a code that stops unstoppable computer viruses, study the properties and principles that make hot air balloons and aircraft carriers boat, explore with field engineers corrosive-resistant materials that one day might result in a bike that never rusts, study human bones for disease, trauma, and a whodunit crime caper, or model and display the trajectory of Angry Birds – and that’s just for starters.
Students will see how intellect and innovation converge as they design, build, test, and retest their assumptions.

Gifted and Talented program provides advanced learning by Stanford University, continually adapts and accelerates learning to ensure that students receive material at just the right level of challenge and enrichment. Students are highly engaged with interactive manipulatives, rich gameplay, and digital project based learning activities themed around Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers. Over 500 instructional lessons and 15,000 problems ensure students develop deep conceptual understanding,and apply their learning in real world contexts.

“Design and 3D Printing for Creative Professionals” is a hands-­on, project based, that is covering the foundations of digital 3D design for 3D printing. The course will explore software applications as well as in depth technical underpinnings of digital 3D design to create beautiful physical models.
